Technical Advice Programme

Client:
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) (Farm Advice Unit).

Aim(s):
To provide clear and targeted advice to farmers, their advisors and agricultural contractors on the requirements of Cross Compliance and what the requirements mean in terms of farm management.

Results (in first 12 months):

• Over 100 farm walks achieved in the first 10 months of the programme.
• Over 100 farm-based workshops held.
• 85% of farmers feel that our events improve their understanding of Cross Compliance.
